The School is set in spacious grounds to the south of Middle Barton village,
on the road between Westcott Barton and Steeple Barton. On three sides the
school is bordered by farmland and enjoys lovely views across the Dorn Valley.
The school grounds are well developed as an important learning resource for
the children.
Middle Barton School predominantly serves the villages of the Bartons and
Sandford St. Martin although, when numbers allow, children from other areas
may be admitted. A taxi service operates for children within the school’s
defined catchment area.
There are currently approximately 150 children in five classes at the school.
We pride ourselves on having a very positive ethos in which all members of
the school community are supported. Our overriding aim is to provide a first
class education for each child within a caring community that has a strong
sense of purpose and values.
